When planning to start slingshot hunting, you need a quality slingshot to provide you with accurate and consistent shots placement. These slingshots won’t look like your traditional forked slingshot. Hunting slingshots because of their need for stability and power are equipped with an arm brace, made of metal, and include a strong band (sometimes multiple bands).
Thankfully, the cost of a high-quality slingshot will not break the bank or even your wallet. You should be able to purchase a slingshot, lots of ammo, and some safety glasses for under $40.
I have included my top three slingshot options that would be appropriate for hunting. For more information on hunting, you should read our full guide on slingshot hunting.
1. Rochan Professional – Wow! Now this is a slingshot. Stainless steel frame, adaptor for a light/lazer, dual spring tensioning system, ergonomic design, etc. It has everything you’d want or need for a quality and powerful slingshot. The dual spring system is really interesting and allows you to pull back the bands for extra tension for long or powerful shots. I am not alone in these comments. The reviews for this wrist rocket are top notch.
2. Barnett Outdoors Cobra Slingshot – This barnett slingshot has many factors that make it a top choice. For one, it has a thick and comfortable grip making continuous and stable shooting easy on the hands. Next, its unique sight and front stabilizer system is completely revolutionary. While it doesn’t pack up as easy as a flat folding slingshot, the Barnett is a phenomenal slingshot for everyday shooting and hunting.
3. Elfirly Slingshot – This is a good entry level slingshot option. The multi band design allows for a more powerful shot. It also comes with extra bands as well as adjustment wrenches. Overall, this is a quality option for a simple, quality slingshot.
4. Daisy P51 Slingshot – Daisy is a classic option for slingshot enthusiasts. The reliability of the brand and product make this a good entry level slingshot. The design and quality is a little lighter than the previous options, but if you are looking to do some plinking and maybe some small hunting, the P51 will be fine.
